Dr. Martha H. Rusnak Endowed Scholarship

CRITERIA:
• Student must maintain a minimum 3.5 GPA.
• Scholarship award must be applied in full in the Fall or Spring Semester.
• Admitted and enrolled as degree-seeking in one of the Department of Education graduate programs for reading & literacy that leads to either the M.Ed. or M.A. degree.
• Completed 6 credit hours by end of the semester when submitting the application.
• Enrolled in at least 3 credit hours/semester;
• 500-800 word Essay that addresses the responsibility of the reading professional to do the following: support learners’ literacy development, motivate learners to be lifelong readers, and advocate for all learners through anti-racist and inclusive literacy practices. Please include examples of how you have or would implement these ideals.
• Finalists may be asked to interview
