Arthur Schmitt
The Arthur Schmitt Leadership Scholar program is a leadership development program as well as a scholarship award. Students will be expected to actively participate in campus discussion groups, readings, and other leadership activities during the course of the school year. Students will also be expected to participate in a Arthur Schmitt campus gathering that takes place in May of each year.

- student must demonstrate leadership qualities and community service involvement
- Must submit a typed Essay
- Student must commit to participate in a leadership development program and attend a campus gathering in May.

- In a 500 to 1,000 word essay please discuss how you hope to grow as a leader over the next year. Please discuss the leadership qualities you have including details of specific situations and evidence of academic merit where you have demonstrated these qualities.
- The leadership development program requires you to complete reading, engage in discussion groups and carry out a volunteer leadership project. Do you agree to do this if selected?
- Have you previously been a Schmitt Scholar at Lewis University?
- Are you able to attend monthly meetings on Wednesdays from 12-1?
