This annual scholarship is supported by the generosity of the Experimental Aircraft Association, Chapter 15.
EAA would like to make special mention and give special thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Louis C. Seno, Sr. for their generosity in supporting EAA’s mission to encourage and support the next generation of aviation professionals and enthusiasts. Lou Sr. was a very early EAA member and a recreational Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) with more than 6000 flight hours logged and was actively flying until the age of 83 and was presented with the FAA Master Pilot Award in September of 2012. Lou Sr., was a successful business man, acting as President and CEO of a retail men’s formalwear company, which boasted 31 separate locations throughout the Midwest. He was also proud of his Italian heritage and was an active member of the Columbian Club of Chicago, an Italian-American social, cultural and charitable organization, where he served as President in 1961. Lou’s passion for aviation touched and inspired many people over the years, including his son, Louis C. Seno, Jr., who is an active pilot, an aircraft owner and business aviation advocate and leader in the industry. Lou and his wife, Ida, were married for 65 years, have 4 children, 8 grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren.
